2011 harvest
A difficult but full of promise 2011 vintage !

Extraordinary weather conditions:

Take a sunny month of May favoring a great flowering, add a pinch of drought in June, sprinkle with rain and sun in July and August in order to avoid hydric stress and blend with a month of September marked by cold nights and sunny days allowing a nice berries’ maturation and a good concentration for late ripening varietals and you will have the recipe of a delicious 2011 crop.

Early harvests and moderate yields:

This year we have started harvesting 1 week earlier and finished at the same period than last year because of the maturity spreading of the different grape varieties and terroirs.
A good organization was necessary. We had to juggle between patience and reactivity, we must be ready !
Result : A quality crop which was not so generous as on the whole Languedoc, quantitatively speaking. Moderate yields due to hillside terroirs.

Expressive wines :

Coolness and fruitiness for white and rosé wines coming from night and morning harvests.
Ripe fruit and spices aromas, structure and fine tannins for red wines having benefited from longer maceration times allowing a better extraction.

A word from the President :

« It is a great year for appellation wines. »
